The inspiration for this book about Fiji is my fascination with the natural Fijian flair, the gracious Fijian funloving people, the interesting culture, the unrivalled hospitlity and especially with the 2 absolutely stunning and spectacular high-end resorts: Laucala Island and Nanuku Auberge Resort.
Nestled in the South Pacific, Fijies lies between Polynesia and Melanesia. The land area is about 18.333 and the sea surface is about 1.290.000 square kilometres. This unique country in the heart of the South Pacific with a healthy economy and a rich culture heritage, is not only blessed with 333 tropical islnds, of which over 100 are permanentely inhabited, powdry white soft sand and dream beaches, but also with pristine, crystal-clear blue ocean waters. A unique underwater colourful world of fish and coral reefs complete this divine image. I was really impressed by the varied landscape of Fiji, from the soothing, rolling hills to the wild rainforests, where for xample, ferns, bamboo, water lilies, mangrvoves and primeval giants proliferate. This multi-faceted landscape scenery is like nowhere else in the world.
Our holidays continued on board of Laucala´s private jet. The plane is ready to take off as soon as the guests arrive from an international or national flight. If you want, you can stay for a short or a longer time at the aiport in the private Laucala Lounge with all the amenities your heart desires. On board, the trip immediately becomes a real pleasure as a coolbox with various drinks, snacks and refreshing towels is also travelling to Laucala Island. After a fifty-minute flight over the unique South See with its dramatic scenery, you will land at Laucala Island´s private airport, which is in operation day and night, but you will still remain in the seventh heaven!
