Raffles

A successful symbiosis between Egyptian aesthetics and Asian/Arabic touches

The Raffles Dubai impresses with its unique pyramid shape and is located just eight minutes by car from the international airport. Unfortunately, we only spent seven hours in this extraordinary luxury hotel (stopover).

The 250 rooms and suites in oriental design offer the highest comfort and even the standard room (signature room) scores with a breathtaking 70 square meters, a balcony with sun loungers and an impressive view of the pool as well as the skyline.

The small but fine swimming pool and the Raffles Spa invite you to linger if you have time.

The luxury hotel also offers a wide variety of culinary delights. From national to Asian to Italian delicacies, there is a suitable restaurant for every taste with, among other things, live cooking stations. Unfortunately, we were unable to test any of the restaurants, as we had previously dined in Emirates First Class. From guests that I spoke to in the elegant lobby I learned that Solo serves absolutely delicious Italian cuisine.

The direct access located next to the concierge to the Wafi Mall pleased me greatly, as the unique Wafi complex is always worth a visit. Read more in my travel blog under Dubai Hotspots.

 Best time to travel:

All year round (I would avoid the months of June to August, however, because of the high humidity. For those who find 40 degrees too much, I recommend the months of October to December and March to April. In January and February the temperatures are around 20 degrees and rain is to be expected).
