Palace Downtown Dubai
A palace hotel in Arab style
The Palace Downtown Dubai – a true palace hotel in Arabian style is a successful counterpart to the dazzling Burj Al Arab as well as to the glittering Palazzo Versace.
For those of you who prefer a modern / stylish hotel, I recommend the sister hotel Address Downtown Dubai. Unfortunately, I have not stayed there since the fire on New Year´s Eve 2015/2016. However, I still remember fondly the stay there in the spa suite with a view of the water fountains and with a whirlpool on the magnificent terrace. I will be visiting this hotel as soon as possible. It is at the top of my bucket list!
The Palace Downtown is in a privileged location within walking distance of the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. Check out the destination Dubai in my travel blog. You’ll learn interesting facts about the multi-faceted malls and other hotspots. The Palace Downtown even has direct access to Souk Al Bahar, with a selection of boutiques and souvenir stores, among other things.
The 242 rooms and suites are equipped with all the technical refinements and exude a successful Arabian ambience. You should definitely book a suite with a view of the breathtaking water fountains. The rooms have a limited view, depending on their location. But from your terrace in the Palace or Royal Suite, you can watch the evening water spectacle at the Burj Khalifa and celebrate the musical accompaniment with a glass of champagne. Take a look at the photos in the slideshow.
The versatile restaurants will spoil your palate in a very special way. Thiptara, right on the lake, offers Asian dishes. The Arabian-style Ewaan serves Arabian delicacies and also scores with international cuisine including Mediterranean cooking stations. The rustic Asado enchants with Argentine grill dishes and live music. On Sundays, there is even tango music. Furthermore, not only can you dine indoors and outdoors in the Thiptara as well as in the Asado, but you also have a fantastic view of the Burj Khalifa from the terrace directly on the water.
We did not test the bars or the spa area due to a lack of time.
The pool area in Arabian style invites you to relax and scores with a magnificent view of the world famous Burj Khalifa, the highest building in the world. In my travel blog, I will tell you about this majestic structure in detail.
The Palace Downtown is definitely a destination for the stylish world traveler who loves Arabian flair.
